Trailer light binding posts?

I tow a lot of different trailers that have crappy lights. I'm always fixing lights, doesn't matter, they are always still broken for about a hundred different reasons. I have some magnetic towing lights, but they aren't always that great either. Last month I had to rent a box truck and it had a different looking trailer light hookup that I've never seen before. It was a little box you opened and inside were 4 binding posts to directly hookup the trailer lights. What a great idea!

Now I can't find such a thing at all. Any idea where I might buy one? Before I try to make one.....

I can't quite picture what your describing, but you may want to try contacting the place your rented the truck from. Maybe they can tell your where they got it, or at least let you look at it so you can make your own version. Keep us posted. I'm curious to see how it turns out. I share your sentiments on trailer lights too. It seems like no matter what you do, they always fink out :/

Ayuh,.... While fixin' trailer lights is a Pain,...

The hook-up point to the tow unit is rarely the issue I see,...

It's usually rotten corroded wirin' ends/ connections,...

Just since August, I've had problems with:
- Dog chewed off trailer connector. (x2)
- Trailer connector on truck wouldn't make contact for left blinker.
- Needed 7 pin to 4 pin adapter, midnight, everybody closed.
- Wires too short, must be extended.

Broken wire right at the connector is popular too.
