Trailer Lights not functioning correctly

When my driving lights are on, My trailer lights work on one side but not the other. When I step on the brake, no trailer lights change. When I turn on the left blinker (functioning side) no blink. When I turn on Right blinker (non-functioning side) their is a faint blink.

I noticed that when I wiggle and touch the attachment to the truck the daytime lights come on the right side.

IS it possible that I only need a new attachment wiring harness? Or does it sound like I have a deeper wiring issue?

check all your grounds first, they almost always cause the issues.

Sounds like your ground wire is not working at all and your lights are getting their ground from the vehicle through the trailer hitch. Start with a small test light and test your connector on the vehicle, then work your way toward the back.
