Brake and turn signals are the same wire on each side (green and yellow). Pretty good chance the plug on the trailer is corroded or the wires are broken somewhere on their way to the lights. It could be the trailer is mis-wired as well. People do strange things with wire and electricity.

Check your fuse panel. I was hooking up my trailer in the dark and accidently shorted the running light prong, thus blowing the fuse. Many trucks have seperate fuses for trailer running lights and trailer brake/turn signals.

Also the above suggestions are good. 99.99% of all trailer lighting problems are the ground....it's sorta like black magic what a bad ground will do..kinda scary really.

Edit: Didn't see that you had tried it with other trailers and confirmed your vehicle is fine..sorry...

Still say it's a bad ground at the lights. Have you tried your tailer on different vehicles?

The running lights work so it is not a bad ground at the lights.

As already said, you have a break in both the green and yellow wire somewhere. Get a test lite w/ the ice pick type probe . Take the tlr plug apart and see if you have power where the green and yellow wires connect to the back of plug. If you have the flat 4 prong conn, start probing the green and yellow wires next to plug, if they both have power then start probing them as you work your way to the back of the tlr. If they go inside the frame and have power at the front end but none at the back, then it's time for all new wires.
Hop this helps,
Mike
