I bought this used boar and trailer. I noticed that I have some broken connections by the lights and some broken lights. Is it a big job to replace the lights with a kit that they sell?

Not a big job at all, A. Winakor. The kits always have more stuff than you really need and only basic tools are required.

Good luck.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

A. Winakor!

How does that Boar like riding on that trailer???????

Just funning you!

As Cornwell mentioned, just buy the kit at the nearest Wal-Mart or K-Mart and go from there. I could do it in my sleep.

Water is warm, come on in!!!

Thanks very much for the information. It is an education buying a used boat especially when the dealer I bought it from is unethical. When they put it in the water, it wouldn't run and they had to take it back to the shop and have the carb rebuilt.

A. Winakor,
Unethical would be putting it in the water, sitting you behind the wheel and running like hell. Spend some time at this site and you'll find that buying a used boat with a carb that needs rebuilding is not unethical, more like typical. Sounds like they did the right thing and fixed it for you. Did you see it run before you bought it?

Right out of high school I bought and sold horses as well as trained calf roping horses for a living. Now talk about unethical! Ain't nothing worse than horse trading. After being in that business for quite a few years, I'm not handing over a dime until I drive it or ride it first. Not bad marriage advise either.

Good luck.

Re: Trailer lights

If you use the crimp connectors you might want to try filling them with some rtv silicone.1 it seal the connection to prevent corrosion. 2 it glues the plastic insulation to the plastic of the crimp connector making the splice stronger. this works well on wireing that gets moved around alot like the light harness at the hitch or in the trunk. It can be a little messy so have a roll of paper towel handy.
