I added an extras ground wire to the trailer. I loosened a bolt on the trailer coupler, attached a heavy piece of wire to it and snugged 'er down. Then put a heavy duty alligator clip on the other end. I then just hook the clip to the trailer hitch on the truck, or some solid piece of metal. That way you bypass any ground issues in the connector and it only take 5 min to install the 1st time and just a few seconds every time you hook up the trailer. Solved alot of my light issues.
