Re: Trailer modifications

The boat overhangs from the trailer end 16 inches, the bunks overhang past the boat 3.5 inches, I want to replace them with rollers and move them forward 4-6 inches.
With the outboard up in the air, the propeller is out from the end of the trailer 4 feet and 2-6 inches.
To me this is really far from the tail lights, kind of like if you have something hanging out of your vehicle over a certain amount, you need a red flag, in the dark I could see someone hitting my propeller, and I would be liable for it, because the lights are so far from it.
Safety, I might not be the safest on the road, but I do stay close to the speed limit, I think a car coming up behind me 20 + miles over the speed limit is more dangerous than this 1000 pound boat.

Looks fine to me especially with the type boat you have on it.

moving the lights out to the fenders and changing them to larger lights will greatly increase how well its seen from behind.

you can also add on to the tongue or replace it for a longer one and that will let you bring the boat up on the trailer even more so your motor isn't sticking out so far.
