single axle NO
tandems is for you.
I have an EZ-Load trailer, dont care for it much.
bunk trailers are nice, easy to maintain.
look for one that is the proper lenght and weight for your boat. then adjust it to fit.
also it should have brakes, electric or surge is fine.

How do I adjust to fit?
For example the boat is in the water now, if i purchase a trailer how do i haul the boat and have trailer set to go? Is it just trial and error or any specs to the whole thing? Thanks
Is there any reason that some trailer could just not be adjusted correctly? It is a deep vee boat.
Thanks

I agree with bifflefan, tandem bunk.

Get one with 4 bunks if possible.

A lot of setup will be required, each hull is different.

If you try to jam the boat on the trailer without some preliminary adjustment migh do some damage.

I understand, but practically speaking how can I accomplish this without taking up the launch ramp for half a day, putting boat on and off?

If you can find a Cobalt on a similar trailer you can take measurements for the preliminary adjustments.

When I took delivery of my Stanley I supplied my own trailer and it took 3 of us 3 hours to set up the bunks, with help of the marinas fork lift.

Later on I was able fine tune the bunks in the garage with a couple of jack all and bottle jacks. All told spent 8 hours getting it right.

No easy way.

Dual Axle that way you don't lose your boat or get stranded if one of the bearings goes out like it did on me. I had to leave my boat on the side of the road overnight because of of the bearings went out. Fixed it the next morning.

If you're buying from a dealer, ask him to take care of it. Might cost you a few bucks, but he'll have access to lifting equipment and yard guys to get you set up.
