Have a little bit of rust starting to form on the trailer jack and coupler...I got rid of it by sanding it off and sprayed with an anti-rust protectant.

Will the anti-rust take care of the problem or do these areas need to be primed and painted?

Thanks

I'd paint it if I were you.

Me too. If the rust really got going, I would use a wire brush to get it to bare metal and then prime and paint. If you are lazy, you could use Rustoleum rusty metal primer first...that may stop the rust. If its the kind of rust that is getting underneath the paint and lifting it up, you need to get rid of all of the paint down to the metal.
