trailer side rollers

My side rollers on my trailer are crazy noisy. I thought at first that it was because the center pin is an 1" or 1 1/2" longer than the rollers...allowing them to bounce...but I looked at new kits and they are no different.

Is there some trick to quieting these things?
maybe a grommet of some kind?

a little grease never hurts.

the problem is more rattling/bouncing...like coins in a can...not squeaking...

bag of garden-hose rubber washers could fix it if theres enough room for them. make sure to lube them.

if your boat is too heavy, the washers might shred or smear away.
