Trailer tires for the tinny

Got a tinny that weighs about 500lbs with gear and motor and I need two new trailer tires. 4.80-12 size.What are you all using and are you happy with the results?Frequent use but only a few long hauls 500mi round trip.

you get a new set of 4.8 x 12's and you run them. get a spare too

for boat tires, those are the least expensive ones out there. about $35 for painted wheel and tire or about $40 for galvanized.

i myself dont like Kenda or Carlisle, however that is all that is available in that size

I have 4.80X12's made by Carlise on my rig. Look for the ones that say USA Trail, Mine have over 3000 miles on them and still look new...They are a little over 2 years old and have no cracking inside the tread or on the side walls. I run them @ 50psi.

Don't get the Harbor Freight tires.

Probably a crap shoot but I have 3 utility trailers all with HF tires one is 8 years old the other 2 about 5. These trailers are heavily used and abused and have never had an issue. I always keep them inflated to 60 psi and carry a spare...but have never needed it.

I just bought a new set at Northern Tool. They were on sale buy one get one $40 I think. Also check the date codes I found some still on the shelf from 2014.
