Trailer Troubles!!!

I recently bought a 26' foot Renken and the trailer was after market. The trailer has four sets of carpeted two 2x8's by 3 feet bunks that pivot 4 ways. The issue is that they do not center the boat well and once the hull makes contact you can not move the boat on them as there is too much friction. I am thinking of changing to wobble wheels but heard they are not good for leaving the boat on over the winter. Is that a valid concern? Also has anyone used the polymer sliders to help with friction? As far as centering the boat, I was thinking of making up two large v guides for the keel to center the hull on the trailer using laminated wood and carpet. Any help would be greatly appreciated because trailering this boat is a necessity.

Re: Trailer Troubles!!!

My boat has been sitting on rollers for 26 years. no problems.

make a bracket and install a keel self-centering roller and you should be fine.
