Trailering question

I just got a pontoon that has a 115 hp Johnson with power trim/tilt. The manual says to trailer the boat in the vertical (down) position if there is enough road clearance. If not, then I need to tilt the motor & lower down to the tilt support. Should I still consider getting a transom saver to reduce the road shock on the transom, or is the motor ok in the tilt postition resting on the tilt support?

A transom save is a great investment. Just remember to squeeze your primer bulb before starting. The fuel runs out of mine when on the transom saver.

The transom saver is a good investment for your boat and mtr.
