Trailering

Newbie here. Just purchased my first boat. It's a 2001 25' Glastron cabin cruiser GS249. It came with a bimini top that has side panels. My questions is can I pull it on the freeway at 60 mph with the bimini top and side panels in place without damaging the top?

I wouldn't. If you did and something happened, you can pretty much bet it won't be cheap to repair. If I HAD to tow with the bimini and side curtains up, the max speed that I would tow it would be whatever the max speed of the boat was on the water with the bimini and side curtains installed.

Not only that but tree limbs are attrached to them tops much like fishing rods are attracted to ceiling fans.

Sure you can. Especially if you dont like the top and sides it came with and youre looking for an excuse to get new ones.<br /><br />When they blow off and the cars behind you crash trying to avoid them, just keep going -- they wanted a new car anyway. No need to hang around for them to thank you.<br /><br />Seriously, I wouldnt.

NO., Added windage making trailering more difficult, damage to the top itself, Damage to boat if secured incorrectly. Nothing good from doing this other than convenience to you.
