I have a 2010 Trophy 2203 CC with the hull design I do not know how to run the transducer cable or secure it to the hull. The transom runs down to the water line, then runs forward about 20 to 22" then drops down again anothe 8" or so.

Re: Transducer cable

You might look at some of the bass boat forums. I've been looking at installation pictures since I bought
a new Humminbird, and I've seen some of the bass boats have a step like that. Although a lot of them
mount the transducer on the jackplate, which you don't have. Also, what brand did you buy? Humminbird
has a very active forum on Yahoo Groups, called "sideimaging". A couple of Humminbird workers frequent
the forum, and have had a lot of experience.

A second thought is to get a transducer mounting board- I just bought one, a 6" x 18" piece of 3/4 inch
high-strength plastic. You could mount that on the transom and hang it down enough to accept the
transducer mount. Might have to make up a wedge shaped piece to mount on the front of that board to
prevent the high speed water from hitting it straight on and peeling it off the transom. Of course, if you're
willing to give up depth at speed (or install a second inside-hull transducer for use at speed), you can just
mount it on the back of the transom and let it be out of the water on a plane.

Once you've got it mounted, running the cable should be pretty straight-forward.

Re: Transducer cable

Install an Airmar B60 and don't worry about running a cable outside the boat. ;)
