Thanks for that .pdf, it seems to have more than I found in my units manual.

I had moved the transducer out along the deadrise and it seems very good there, but I find it interesting that they actually recommend installing it on the stepped transom, below the main transom for better readings at high speed. I'm not sure I have room there, but I may look into that.

I just have to decide if I want to drill 2 more holes in my hull. I'm not sure I even have a place there, so it may not matter.

Thanks again for all the help, it's at least reading pretty well at speeds 40+.
