If it is solid fibergalss you can shoot thru the hull with about a 10 percent loss. Use slow cure epoxi and try to mix without bubbles. Any air bubbles like if you use a fast cure epoxi and the bubbles do not have time to get out will degrade your signal the same as air. (it is air) <br /><br />If the fiberglass has a wood core or a foam core then you must cut down thru the core to get to solid fiberglass for it to work. <br /><br />You can try it and see how it works by building a little lake in the bottom of your hull. Build the pond out of kids clay and fill with clean water. Put your transducer in the water and try to get it flat on the bottom then go test it.
