I just ordered a 5HP Tohatsu kicker motor and will be mounting it on a Panther adjustable bracket. I am concerned that I will not have access to screw on the bracket nuts behind the transom. My only access is where my fuel line goes into my transom. Behind this part of the transom is a solid molded livewell under the seat.

Any advice?

Re: Transom Access for Kicker Mount

I sould think access is there through the motorwell boot hole. Otherwise remove the seat back and cut a hole there. If neither, then cut a hole in the deck above and cover it with a deck plate. You can get a simple cover or one with a screw lid. click

You might consider cutting a hole in the deck and using a solar battery charger as the cover.
