Anyone tried using the books at this site....
Or should I just go off the knowledge I've gained and ask questions here on iboats for replacing floor and transom?
http://www.fiberglassboattransoms.com/
There may be some good books on the subject, I don't think that is one of them tho. There's more to learn here, and you can ask questions specific to your own project. If you have any question just ask away, folks here like to help. Chief
For gods sakes don't buy it I got the fllor 1 and its not so good. Books? Who needs books when you have us. Ok some books maybe we don't do everything.
"Runabout Renovation" Jim Anderson's book is the bible on rebuilding an old boat. You can get it most places for about $15. The list of Suppliers in the back is worth its weight in gold.
Does this book cover details like:

For Stringers
how many layers of cloth or mat
how long to waity between layers
what weight of cloth or mat
application tips
It walks you through everything from how to survey the old tub to complete floor/transom/paint/upholstery repair. It also has a small section about aluminum boats.
