transom cap...what to use?

Looking for something to use as a transom cap. my transom has the "u" shaped cutout for my outboard. Was looking for a rubber or bendable metal cap to put on and just wondering what others have used. Thanks

Alum angle, cut one leg of the angle and bend it to conform, its just a rash protector.
