I have a 79 Aquasport I just purchased, and just located a crack on top of the transom where the engine is mounted. What are some suggestions for a do it yourself fix. Thanks

i used a 3M 4200 sealer to fix and cover a seam i had along the top of my transom but was able to hide the beads with a plastic trim plate that was part of the boats features, you could prolly make a trim plate of some sorts. i also used a product called Marine-Tex to fill and fix a gouge i had on my keel. It was long and deep and this product filled the bill. Marine Tex takes a beating. Guess its depends on how you want the final look but these are two options. Just prep the surface real well before using either.
