Transom cut out sx /merc/ corbra

If you have king cobra, and wanted to go to merc would be a complete transom glass and start over job or is the cut out the same for either he sx or merc alpha/bravo. I have looked around here and I read that it is the same for sx and bravo but you have to drill two more holes for bravo. what about alpha

Merc alpha and bravo have the same cut-out but as you stated, the bravo has two extra mounting holes.

Never tried a omc or volvo swap to merc or visa-versa.

Not always, only when using the ................. Oh never mind, you already know that.

what about going from a cobra or king cobra to sx or merc?

A lot depends on which King Cobra. The standard King Cobra with the Dog Clutch and the SX/DPS drives took the same cutout.
The OMC King Cobra (PRE 94) with the cone clutch, I don't know for sure. But have NEVER heard anyone say they were different. But that doesn't mean that it is the same either.
