I used baltic birch 3/4" cabinet plywood from HD. Save your money and don't use marine grade. Take that money and put it towards resin, cuz your gunna need a lot of it.

As far as resto's go you seem to have gotten off easy with the exception of the transom. No foam, the old stringers weren't glassed in, I'm jealous. I am toying with the idea of doing a poor mans restoration of my chris craft (just floors and foam). My floors are not soft but they are starting to raise up where one panel meets the next. I'll be watching this thread as I'm sure it will help me out if I decide to take the plunge.

P.S. I am aware of the stages of restoration denial, and I'm sure my stringers need work but I don't have the time to do it myself. I just want to get the wet foam out ASAP in case there is still hope for the stringers.

If you are aware of the resto denial then why are you saying "still hope for the stringers" :p

I use that birch cabinet ply for all sorts of interior projects on the boat but be aware its only birch on the exterior lamination, its pop ply inside.
