Transom Hairline Crack, Any Suggestions?

I noticed this crack in the transom, looks cosmetic mostly. The transom is solid, it looks like previous owner repaired in this area before. Grinding and filling it seems like the solution, Anybody have any suggestions, feedback on what I should do? Thanks, 17 foot Mako

Looks like some one has used body filler in it before. Grind it down and see what it is. Inspect the wood under it too...
