Hello everyone, does any body know the transom height need to run a long shaft motor? I have an evinrude 35hp long shaft and am looking at a 14' aluminum old blue star boat that measures 19 1/2" from top of transom to bottom of stern. will my motor work ok on it?? thank you in advance

Ya That'll work. The cavitation plate on the motor needs to be pretty much level with the bottom of the boat or slightly higher. In your case I would think you would be slightly lower, but not enough to hurt anything. You just won't get optimum performance.

You're there. "Long shaft" requires a transom of around 20".
