Hi all,

I've been having a problem with my 1996 Mercury Force 75 ELPT stalling while in gear on the water...
After some great suggestions from this forum for what my next steps were, I was prepared to tackle my carburetors and hopefully get everything cleaned out and running under load again....

But when I took my engine cover off and tried to match up the manuals I had downloaded for my model of engine... it didn't match up... not even close in the case of the carburetor(s)!!

My engine only appears to have one carburetor!

Here are some pics of my engine.... am I right in that I only have one carburetor?? Is this even a mercury top half??
I'm afraid of what parts I may have that are specific for the 96 ELPT won't fit on whatever this thing is!

Does anyone recognize this engine? Or maybe it IS a mercury force 75 but a different year?
I want to get this bad boy fixed but now I'm at a loss for parts, manuals, etc.... frustrating!!

A Force is a Force, and A Mercury/Mariner is a Mercury/Mariner. They are nothing alike with the exception of some electrnics and a better lower unit. Download the manuals for a Force 75 and this thread should be in the Force/Chrysler forum, not the Mercury/Mariner forum.

Thanks for the info!! I greatly appreciate it. Are there any links to download the manuals for the Force 75?

Thanks again!
