Transom question

I bought a 75 HP Honda 4 Stroke on a Glasspar citation fishing boat.
I have a beautiful showroom condition Glasspar Avalon that I grew up water skiing on, Family Heirloom. My Dads baby.
The Citation is rated for a 115 HP so no problems there.
The Avalon is rated for a 85 HP and 275 Lbs.
The Honda weights 370 Lbs.
It seems like the weight rating is always the weight of the max HP at the time, before 4 strokes.
Any opinions about the under HP over weight 4 stroke outboard on the Avalon?
I know a Honda on the Avalon is Blasphemy, but it's a salmon troller.
I read aboat tabs.
Not sure what they are. Could I reinforce the transom?

Thanks

Boat ratings usually specify max HP, but not weight. As long as you are at or under Max HP, you should be fine. The extra weight should not make any difference.

You do walk back to the motor area, right? You weigh more than 100 # and the boat doesn't sink, right?
