Gorilla hull is basically another bottom that goes below the existing one and is made for a "top secret" material that i gather is something like kevlar in nature. You can read about it on their website but info is kind of limited. I know that there is a long waiting list to get it done and they've done like 10,000 of them in the last 30 years. the people ive talked to that have it says their boat handles better and gets more speed with less rpms as well as when they run up on a stump that would normally leave an ugly mark they can just wipe it off basically. I do know 2 guys personally that had the gorilla hull put on theur boats and both of them were champions and they abslolutely love it. One of the guys even talked his insurance into paying for it, he signed a waiver of liability on the hull and they paid the bill. And yes they made out pretty well, i had no doubt that i would hear some criticism and im sure i haven't heard the last. To me $10k to have a lifetime warranty on all of that is a lot better than the same money or more to get something that may have more problems. I have thought about the motor as well, I am a good mechanic and i can tell you the motor is in great shape but even if it had problems down the road, replacing it with a good used unit i will come out cheaper than that guy who bought a $40-$70,000 bass boat.
