I have a 1964 15' Sears runabout, fiberglass. The floor are solid as a rock, no cracks anywhere, however the transom if rotted about 75% down. I have pulled the motor off(outboard), steering cables, junction box ect... and have the entire inner and outter skins accesible with no obstructions ready for repair? Here's my question? Repair the transom from the inside by cutting out the glass, exposing the wood, and replace? cut out the exterior rear skin and go from that angle, or take it to a shop now that I have it reay, and let a pro do it? Also, what are your thoughts on SEACAST transom repair? I am going to be fishing and boating with my most prize posessions in the boat, "Wife & Son", so safest is best, not easiest and cheapest? just want some opinions...
