Alright, I finally got started on the transom project on my 1964 crestliner. Here are some pics of the progress, the old transom was very very wet. It was just a single layer of 1" marine ply.

Re: Transom Replacement Progress

I had a boat simuliar to that years ago, well it was a 17ft Glasmaster inboard/outboard that I converted to an outboard. Best riding boat I ever had.
The wood looks like it's ready to fall off the transom it's so wet. Looks good so far how about a shot or two of the whole boat?

max!

Re: Transom Replacement Progress

Its a pretty good riding boat. It didn't take much to get that old transom out! New one is in! Still have to get under the floor and redo that though. Lots more glass to do.
Excuse the mess in the garage, was planning to work outside, but a rainy forecast moved me inside unexpectedly.
