Am going to attempt to replace the transom wood in an older 14' Landau. When old rivets are removed and marine wood replaced should the rivets be replaced w/ new rivets or should a different hardware be considered? If rivets are recommended how hard are they to work with and are their specialty tools available. I have only ever worked with sheet metal rivets.
