Re: Transom replacement.

Great. Should I trim the bottom of the transom to conform with the angle that the hull bottom makes with the outer skin?

Not a bad idea, you want a fairly good fit, but not so tight that you can't get a little PB in there...
In the end, the PB fillet will take care of any gaps...
The angle is approximately 10?

Re: Transom replacement.

Some progress and a few questions to ask. Laid up the stringer in PB, not terribly impressed with my work, some bubbles in a few areas. In the pb mixture i used some chopped strands i made from csm sheets but felt more clumpy than a good consistent mix. I just got a can of proper chopped strands from my local supplier, so i think il likely grind out some of the pb and lay in some proper pb any thoughts?

Also these braces are going in from the transom down to the deck, looking for the best way to bond and glass over this area, the glass removed was quite thick. Thanks guys.
