Hello, I've got a 15 foot aluminum skiff I'm restoring and need to replace the transom. It is not an easy fix on my Bayrunner BR-15 though. It has splashwalls that are welded and riveted over the transom. Attached are pictures. Does anyone have any advice on how they would replace this transom? Any advice or input is greatly appreciated.

Honestly from those pictures it looks like you will either have to cut the caps or remove the storage compartments and pull the wood straight forward to clear the caps. It looks like the two rear sections of the storage are riveted to the other section, you might just be able to remove the top wood and side panels from just those two sections and then rivet them back in place. How are those side panels attached to the hull?

Not sure why the caps would be welded on, but it makes things a lot more awkward!
