Transom Saver for Sterndrive?

I am curious if a transom saver is necessary or helpful with a sterndrive? Or would it be overkill? Boat transom is solid at this point no signs of any weakness.

very helpful. and use a stern strap on the boat also.

It will also help take some of the abuse off of the tilt rams.....

I dont think its worth it. Just think about all the force on the rams when underway and trimed up. THATS ABUSE lol Having it up when trailering is nothing.
