soon i'll be getting an 8 h.p 4s and thinking of useing a transom saver .

the cross member that runs acroos the back of the trailer is 3 " thick are most transom savers able to fit that thickness ? are there different sizes for different trailers?

Re: transom saver question

If you can safely tow with the engine tilted fully down you don't need a transom saver. But if you don't have enough road clearance and the engine must be tilted, then they are a good idea. Transom savers generally have a couple of different attachment methods to accommodate different trailer frames.

Re: transom saver question

My TS mounts to a keel roller at the rear of my trailer. Others have a pin or nub that bolts to the rear cross member.

Re: transom saver question

roller mount is only for motors with power tilt and trim

you need a bolt on, which is fine (i actually trust them more)
