Transom Seal Leak

I have an 86 Bayliner Caapri with a small 3/4 inch tear in the transom seal. It happens to be just below the water line. The leak is not at all severe. The auto-bilge pump never turned on the last time I took the boat out. Is there any strong adhesive that will stick to rubber? I realize if there isn't I'll have to pull the lower unit off. Will 3M 5200 work? Thanks.

I have absolutely no clue. When the lower unit tilts down, there is no contact with the seal. I don't know what else could have done it.

I would hate to say yes and that not be right. Mabye JB will see this or someone else that has run into this kind of problem. I have not. Sorry.

good luck,
Suzuki40
