I have been pricing after market(sierra by teleflex) transom cables found prices from $75.00 to $100.00. Will this cable work just as good as the oem cable. Who is the manufacturer of the oem cable? Trying to save $$$<br />Thank for the help in advaced

What drive ?<br /><br />On merc for example i like the OEM cable as it now has a low friction coating on the wire that allows for smother shifting<br /><br /><br />tommays

Boatfix<br />go2marine<br /><br />You should check but I believe the Sierra part number is 18-2245.<br /><br />If I still had my Cobra, I would use the OMC cable.

bruceb58 you are right about the sierra part# got it from go2marine, but since omc no longer exists who makes the OEM cable.
