My 1998 Northwood Toon has a fading and tattered decal on the back that says: "Important, When trailering with a bunk style trailer transom must be supported to trailer". Of course it isn't and never was. My trailer looks like all the others I've seen with absolutely nothing for the transom.
It is carrying a 90hp Evinrude and the transom plywood needs replaced due to slight sagging -- but I attribute that to age. No other detrimental effects are obvious, with the possible exception of a slight vertical separation on the prow of the engine "boat".
As a matter of curiosity, has anyone seen such a support? Would it be some sort of funny slide-on tailpiece on the trailer?
