Yep. Did it with my Endura motor once. Worked perfectly. I believe it was even in the users manual on how to do it. Took a couple of minutes.

Ayuh,... Once you figure out how to Mount it,... The motor don't care which way it's pointed...

I believe he is referring to turning the head on the shaft so when the motor is mounted on the bow, forward will still be forward on the control. A transom mounted trolling motor comes with the handle and lower part pointing in two different directions like a tiller handle outboard. I believe he is wanting to turn the head with the handle to point the same way as the bottom part. I did this on my transom mounted trolling motor on my jon boat when I moved it to the bow. I believe it is just a screw or two to do this.

I checked Minn Kota's site and it is a bolt or screw under the control unit. Remove this, turn the head 180* and reinstall bolt or screw. Be careful not to mess any of the wires up.

There have been some darn good deals on trolling motors on my local craigslist. In the fall I picked up a real nice MotorGuide bow mount model with foot pedal control for $75.

ya I got some haters when some guys with a side mount saw my vintage searsgamefisher with dual props mounted on my bow,it was easy to turn the head 180 with one screw. I also did an extension handle, throttle extension made from bamboo. and even a toggle switch mounted on the extension handle. awesome motor its got a bright light also paint job ect. modded to the max. good luck on the mount for it .I shoved some strips of pvc then put an L bracket alluminum and glued it while clamped overnight it was tricky to get the motor clamps on flush. I put new props on about 15 years ago . taken him to the bay also. 30 speeds 14lb thrust for each motor and work individually paid 50.00 15 years ago for it.can easily be mounted on ster or bow.At the bay I use this one the bow sometimes, good for troling extra slow.
