We have heard of sailboats being transported by a big container ship and would like to look into this from R.I. to FL. Anyone know who does this? Anyone done it? What's the cost? I hear you do not have to derig. So that is a savings. Thank you, Faith

Hi Faith, If your talking about the 35 freedom, why not sail it down to fla.. :D You knew someone would suggest it :D . If you don't want to do it yourself, then hire a captain and go along for the ride.. what a great trip it would be..

Good idea, Flashback, if we can find that much time (and the nerve!). Regards, Faith

Faith,

I'd guess it would be cheaper and faster to just hire a boat mover and put it on the back of a flatbed truck. All you would have to do is take down the mast and secure it to the boat. (or on the trailer)

Dan

I'll sail it down there in return for a case of Pabst and some peanut butter sandwiches.
