the sliding glass windows, both port and starboard, are leaking into the salon on a trawler. The window channels fill up to the point of overflowing inboard. The drain holes cant keep up with the volume of water.I have before taken both pieces of glass out of the frame and replaced it with a single piece that I could completely seal in,making the glass stationary, but this particular owner does not like this solution. He still wants the ability to open the glass. This seems to be a pretty common problem on these trawlers but the only solution Ive come up with is the afformentioned.Any suggs.

Can ya drill larger or additional drain holes on the outer frame lip?

Thanks for the reply.Im gonna try that.Im still looking for another solution. This just seems like a bad design from the start. The track should angle outboard you would think.Especially if the boat has a list or the wind is blowing.

can you take a 1/4 x 2 inch piece of aluminum plate, seal and screw to the inside of the frame. to raise the threshold. and larger or more drain holes.
