So there has to be a few thousand legends of sunken ships loaded with Russian gold, or British sterling, or nuts from Figi: anyone know a fun book title for any or all of the above?

(well I just made up the one about Figi nuts but you know what I mean, right?)

We are kicking the idea around of selling the house and cruising some islands for a decade under the guise of treasure hunting. Actually it's just an excuse to fish all day - but a case of gold fever never hurt.

Thanks, Bobber

Re: Treasure hunting.....

I live inland From Gaspar's "summer home", Gaspilla Island.
Then we got the Atochia, south of us...
Let's see..There is a Jananese 2-man sub off the coast of Sanibel (sorry, no numbers).
Oh yea, the riverboat from the 30's that caught fire at the mouth of the Orange River. Rumor has it that the owner was murdered, and the vessel torched to cover the crime.
This place (Florida) has tales up and down the coast, and the Cuban refugees are busy writing the next chapter.
(1951 Chevy Flatbed boat indeed).
