I thought I would get a better shot at the old trout hole, so I climbed up the the tree that was over seeing part of the stream.. I get myself setup really nice and comfy like.. It was a beautiful site watching the fish swimming through the water.. The water sparkling so pretty and you can see all the way to the bottom. And the smell of fresh mountain water. I would say it was at least 5ft deep and so cold it would make you ( use your amagination). You know how I know this.. Well, I hooked a beautiful 13" rainbow native and as I was reeling him up to me, I moved the wrong way and the limb broke. I went in face first, I lost my tackle bag and worms, but I managed to save the trout and pole.. That water is sooo cold, but that trout tasted sooo good..

I always start out with worms, becuase when I use my fingers it hurts... I hate to admit this but 12" trout have little teethe.. I'm sure you already know that. OK I'll have to explain this one to ya.. I spilt the power bait(liquid) in my bag. As I was cleaning it out, I stepped on my worms. Yes, words flew out of my mouth.. As I was picking up the worms and washing the darn power bait off my stickin hands, off to the sides just a few feet away notice some fish swimming around.. Before I knew it I caught a 12" trout on the end of my finger.. Natural reaction is to get it off MY FINGER.. Well, I shook my hand and the fish went flying into a tree and so did the skin on the tip of my finger.. It hurts so bad, but not as much as that fish after I gutted it out to eat...
