Hello Iboats,
I have a Galaxie (of California) 18.5' tri hull. I am attempting to replace the stringers and engine mounts. But the hull seems to be 3 pieces and I'm not sure what I'm up against. Since I don't know the proper terms, I've posted a photo to help visualize my problem.
The boat has the standard hull bottom and cap, but underneath the cap is another fiberglass form that runs the length of the boat, goes underneath the open bow section, covers the transom wood and drops to the level of the floor.
I've done a lot of searches and haven't found anything like this on Iboats or anywhere else. Can someone tell me what I'm up against or maybe lead me to some good info?
I have already started a step-by-step thread on the progress of the project. But I've been at a standstill because of this problem. Here's the link: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?p=1602266#post1602266
