I was looking for a post like this and did not see one yet.
Just something simple for people to list basically how long you have been boarding, and your trick progression.

Want to see a list of Tricks?
Check 'em out here.

Re: Trick Progression...

After three hours of practice this weekend, I got a fwe good attempts at Heelside Wake to Wake jumps.
Added that to my progression list.

I can go hs w2w pretty good even land a few of them in the flats. Can get up and ride switch and surface 180 back to regular. Jumping ts off one wake and can land a few ts 180's off one wake.

My progression will be landing w2w ts with a 180 and trying a hs 180.

Re: Trick Progression...

Yeah, I want to get some good practice in this weekend. So far, forecast looks really nice, but I am going out of town on Thurs. and won't be back until Sun. evening.
My main focus on next, after I settle in my HS W2W is going to be TS W2W and TS W2W 180.
Apparently, my cousin keeps telling me, he finds it easier to do the TS W2W 180, then it is for the TS W2W. Just becasue you land Heelside and eadge away from the boat on landing.

Agree on the ts 180 being easier. Alot of it is because going ts gives you a natural tendency to rotate. I am much more comfortable edging and jumping hs than ts, but the 180 is definitely easier ts.

Try letting go with your back arm, and letting it hang.

Same goes for any ts jump, letting go with the back hand will keep you from wanting to rotate, which is a natural tendency when moving on a ts edge. Keep both hands on the handle will want to make you rotate, which is why ts 180's are easier to learn than hs 180's. Pop the wake on a ts edge and move the handle to your back hip and you will rotate very naturally into a 180.

Re: Trick Progression...

Learned how to get up and shred last year, bought a Centurion in Feb and started riding consistantly this year (3 days a week, usually about 15-20 hours of water time)

Wake to Wake Toe and Heel
Grabs, Nose, Tail, INdy, Tindy
Heel side 360 wake to wake
toeside 360 one wake
toeside 180 one wake
Heel side 180 wake to wake (Blind)
A few supermans
One Heelside Backroll

A lot of wipeouts, and a lot of injuries... This season I have had "dancers foot" fractures on both feet from being ripped from bindings, a cracked rib on left lower chest (big heelside threes) and tendenitis in my shoulders from riding so hard so long... They were injuries that I could jsut deal with so I just kept riding.

If you want to go big DO IT, but know that it takes a lot of patience and you WILL get hurt.

I own the BOOK and Transgression videos that have good tutorials on how to throw tricks and am going to Darin Shapiros Camp a few times this off season to finally learn INVERTS.

GOOD LUCK!
