Well, yesterday one of my computers got a virus, 10 minutes on the water and my speedometer quit working, but luckily my new 60# sx smart tabs did not disappoint. My tahoe Q6 planed with minimum effort and took the chop like a totally different boat. I was alone as the kids were in school and momma had to work, but it was my day off and I couldn`t wait to test them. Even with no one else on the boat just getting on the throttle a little bit within seconds it would be on plane and the bow doesn`t hardly come up at all like before . All in all I was very impressed. I kept finding my self looking for someone elses wake to put them to the test and it was awsome. Chock up one more smart tab success story!!! Anyone have any ideas on the speedometer problem?

Glad you like the tabs!
On the speedo, I'd look at the intake tube and hole to see if it's clogged.

I hate you guys (not really) I am saving up for the stainless set almost there but I want them now. I was at Katherins landing this weekend and was nice in the morning till the wind and rain blew in two days in a row first day nine miles away from the boat ramp and it rained hard all nine miles back to the ramp. The first mate was a trooper and we actually still at a blast it beats sitting at home but all I keep thinking was man if I had my trim tabs would sure be smoother.:D Glad your happy with yours....

maddog, check the leading edge of your outdrive, there is a small hole in it, that is the speedo pickup, if you hit something in the water, stick, clump of grass some of it will plug that hole, get a small drill bit and use it to clean the hole.

Nlain and tahoe55, thanks for the advice. You were correct , the hose on the leading edge of the outdrive had come off. Once again this site has helped a fellow boater. Thanks Guys!
