Trigger not snug on 2000 40HP Mercury S/N-OG590000 and above

Hi! Thanks for checking the thread.
Is this assembly correct? Brand New trigger/stator/flywheel. Seems there is a lot of room between trigger and stator. Makes me think this isn't right.
Service manual doesn't mention in detail but no other pieces on schematics.

This is an electric start. I think I ordered the wrong stator. Got the 832074A11 but should've go with the 832075A21. Different amperage but I think the size is about the same.

Not sure I understand your post.
Your post title implies you have serial number 0G59XXXX but when asked to verify you mention serial number 0T339XXX.
Be sure you are using the correct parts list.

If I'm reading service manual correctly my motor qualifies for parts under

"S/N-OG590000 and above"​

OT being the "above".
Isn't that not right?
