I got a new motor for my Trim n tilt on my 1988, 60hp evinrude. I topped the hydraulic unit off with Transmission fluid, thats what previous owner used. an it appears to be running good. On the side of the transom bracket there is an adjustment screw, what is the function of this screw? it is turned all the way counter clockwise now, is this right? Thanks Neil74

Re: Trim an Tilt

if we are think of the same thing, that is the emergency release screw, should be all the way clockwise. you have to get to it, thru a hole in the side of the transom bracket? little hole marked in red
