I have been setting up my boats trim control module and sender from scratch. And i have a few questions.
- Does the angle that the DP-C1 drives (5 degrees) only mean that far above zero for max tilt before hitting beach range? In other words that is the max angle that the boat should run at top speed? Because i usually just keep trimming up until he propeller starts to slip. I attempted to measure my transom angle on level ground and got it at 15 degrees. Then the chart told me that i would trim the motor up untill there is 2" of lift ram shaft exposed, that would be 5 degrees supposedly. Is that right?
- Some manuals tell me to set my max trim angle (5 degrees) for the center mark on the trim gauge. Others say set it for the 3/4 mark. I was thinking if i set it between the two, say 5/8 for (5 degree), the 3/4 mark would be near my slip out, and then the last 1/4 would be beach range for less than 1000rpm
Lets start there.
Thank you,
Kyle
