Trim Cylinder Adjustment

I pulled my outdrives off over the winter. Had starboard go out so i took the oppertunity to replace both. I finally got the chance to go up & put them on this last weekend. When i took the protection cover off around the bell housing & trim cylinders, the port side rams had extended out from the way they were left in the fall. One had came about 3" out of the cylinder & the other had came out about 6". Has anyone heard of this or know what could be happening. Is it possible to disconnect the trim hoses, push back in, check & add fluid and then start over.

Any advice is appriciated.

Thank you,

If you push one to retract, the other will extend.

Lift the drive up and attach the long one let it down and you can put on the short one, which will be the same as they pass.
