Hello, I'm new to motorboating, I have a boat with an honda BF90, the trim is leaking fluid, and i want to refill it, but i dont know how to doi, I've read that the trim must be in the upper position, refill and meking going up and down 2 or 3 times to purge the air.

Is this procedure ok?, any help will be aprecciated.

Thanks in adavance

Welcome to iboats.

Filling a leaking system ??? You should get it fixed.

Yes you fill trim when it is fully extended and if you have a helper have them pushing the UP button while you fill the system.

2-3 (or more) cycles will purge the air.... it is self bleeding.

Re: Trim Fluid Refilling.

Hi Bob,

You are right, refill a leaking system is not a good idea, but the leak is not a big leak, if I refill it now, I'll have my trim working til september, when the season will finish for me, then when Ill take out of the water my boat to winterize it, I'll fix the leak on the trim system.

Thanks Bob, Ill post whats is the problem when i'll fix it.
